The Application Process

Our application process has been designed be as transparent and straightforward as possible.

1. Application process

When you click ‘Apply Now’ on any job advertisement you will be asked to create an account which then creates a candidate profile for you. By uploading your CV, you do not need to complete a lengthy application form, as our system is able to auto-populate most of the required fields. It is important to check the application’s details before submitting to ensure the information is accurate.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email confirmation that we have received your application and that it is being reviewed by our HR team.

2. Application screening

We take recruitment and selection very seriously; we ensure we take an objective view and follow best practice guidelines. Our HR team will review your application to check your experience and skills match with those required by the role. Often, we will arrange a screening call to understand better your profile and drive to join our team.

3. Your meeting with the team

If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an interview with the line manager and/or HR. Typically, these interviews will include a behavioural and technical competency-based questions and may include other assessment tools depending on the role and seniority. Each interview process is designed to assess each candidate against the key requirements and competencies required for the role.

Keep in mind that interviews are a two-way process. We'll ask about your skills and experiences, but interviews are also an opportunity for you to understand if the role and the company are right for you.

4.  Your meeting with executive management

The fourth stage of the process will include conversations with members of the senior management team, and you will have the chance to learn more about the Energean culture.

5.  Formalising the terms of our collaboration

If successful in all stages of the selection process, we will discuss the details of your offer, benefits, and reward package which you will also receive in writing. At this point, we will discuss about the onboarding dates and any potential relocation requirements you may have depending on the location of the role you have been selected for.

6. Pre-employment checks

Upon your acceptance Energean has a responsibility to protect its business and as a result will commence pre-employment checks. The checks conducted will vary depending on the role you've been recruited for and may include details of current/previous employment, credit history, criminal record, qualifications, and education checks as appropriate.

Your application is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure that you are kept informed at every stage of the process, regardless of whether it is successful or not. We aim to provide feedback on how you performed during the selection process.

If you are not successful on this occasion, you may be considered for future vacancies that suit your skills and experience. You can continue to review and apply for any new roles online using your login and password created during initial registration.

Always be vigilant about fraudulent recruitment activity containing offers of employment that look like they originate from Energean. These fake offers of employment aim to defraud recipients of their personal information, data and potentially money. 
Energean will never offer you a job or contract without first having gone through a detailed recruitment process.
The points below may help you to identify if you have received a fraudulent offer of employment.

  • This is the first written correspondence from Energean
  • You have not applied for a role at Energean 
  • You have not attended an interview with Energean either by phone/video or in person
  • You have been asked to supply your personal details, complete a form, or send a payment to secure the offer of employment and the email address of the sender does not end with “@energean.com”

During the recruitment process, Energean will never:

  • Ask you for money (e.g. visa fees, travel expenses, training etc.)
  • Request personal documentation before a formal interview/assessment (e.g. passport, bank details)

Do not share personal information with any of these accounts and report anything suspicious to careers@energean.com or your local police department.
