Summary:

Energean Italy is looking for a Deputy Operations General Manager to expatriate in Abu Qir Petroleum Company, located in Alexandria, Egypt (Joint Venture Operating Company, 50% Energean – 50% EGPC). The Deputy Operations General Managre will provide technical and managerial support to the Managing Directors. The role and responsibilities of the Operations Deputy General Manager shall be executed in agreement with the Operations General Manager (EGPC representative in JV).

Key Accountabilities:

• Management of multidisciplinary staff including production, reservoir, drilling and field specialists. 
• Achievement of HSE targets under his line of responsibility.
• Preparation and accomplishment of challenging OPEX, CAPEX and Production budget.
• Technical support in preparation of strategic mid- and long-term plan.
• Production of technical and managerial documents to be discussed and reviewed by upper management in Energean and in the JV.
• Technical and economic feasibility studies for new development opportunities.
• Permitting procedures for oil & gas industry with specific reference to Egypt.
• Planning and follow-up of maintenance, asset integrity, well integrity and asset upgrade activities in compliance with industry standard. 
• Network de-bottlenecking and production enhancement including rigless well interventions.
• GHG emission monitoring and implementation of projects aimed at limiting the carbon footprint.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering with strong technical background (process, petroleum, mechanical, electrical engineering).
• 10-12 years of experience in Oil & Gas Operations.
• 2-3 years in a management position.

Skills:

• Fluent in English.
• Familiarity with the Egyptian production sharing system. 
• Strong technical background in the oil & gas sector
• Ability to report effectively to the upper management.
• Ability to bridge the main company’s missions between upper management and technical departments.  
• Rigor and critical sense, open-minded, keen to knowledge sharing.
• Active listening and strong communication skills.
• Team working.
• Effective management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
