Summary

 

Energean is seeking a motivated and capable AI & Data Engineer to join our team in Athens and support the delivery of digital, data, and AI-driven solutions across a dynamic Oil & Gas Group.

 

Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions & ERP, this role is ideal for an early to mid-career professional with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in data engineering, software development, data management, and modern Microsoft technologies.

 

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable data pipelines, analytic platforms, and AI solutions that enhance business operations, decision-making, and process efficiency across the organization.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Contribute to the design, development and deployment of data platforms and AI-driven solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Build, optimise, and maintain SQL queries, data models, and database structures for reporting, analytics and business intelligence
  • Develop data pipelines and workflows to ingest, transform, and manage structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and implement automations, applications, and AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft technologies (e.g. Power Platform, Azure AI, Copilot Studio), SAP, and other tools
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and best practices
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of digital and AI solutions
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are maintained across solutions

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in data engineering, software development, or similar roles
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, data modelling, and relational databases
  • Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. Power Platform, Azure services, Copilot Studio)
  • Programming experience in Python or other modern programming languages
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and analytics solutions
  • Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, and/or generative AI concepts
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and automation tools will be considered an asset
  • Exposure to enterprise systems (e.g. SAP) and business processes is a plus
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal)
