Summary: 
 
Energean is seeking a CCS Commercial & Finance Associate, based in Athens to join our team towards the development of Prinos CO2, the first Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) project in the Mediterranean region . The successful candidate will  have an integral part in supporting the team in topics related to project finance, government grants, and commercial activities.
 
Key Accountabilities:

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement financial strategies, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Identify funding opportunities including European and national grants. Support the project team in developing proposals for funding under various funding mechanisms, follow up all administrative porcesses in relation to these grants including the Recovery and Resilience Facility .
  • Participate in commercial negotiations and contract management, ensuring compliance with project objectives.
  • Maintain the project financial model, analyse and interpret financial data, create detailed reports, and make recommendations for project optimization.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand project requirements and budgeting.
  • Support the development of project through the preparation of presentations and reports.

 
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
    

  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance / financial advisory role, with a strong background in finance, government grants, and commercial activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or related disciplines. 
  • Experience with financial models and report writing
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and interpersonal abilities.. 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excelnd PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex financial models and compelling presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
