Summary
Energean is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance & Claims Officer to join our Group Insurance team at the company’s headquarters in Athens.
Reporting to the Head of Insurance & Claims, the successful candidate will play a key role in the administration, coordination, and monitoring of the Group’s insurance portfolio, as well as in supporting the management and handling of claims across Energean’s international operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with experience in insurance, risk, or legal administration to contribute to a dynamic, international energy company.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the business in meeting its operational and strategic objectives through the effective administration of insurance programs.
- Maintain and update the Group’s insurance registry, ensuring accurate records of all policies, expiration dates, premiums, and coverage details.
- Liaise with insurance specialists across the Group’s operating countries to gather and consolidate information on local insurance covers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Project Teams, HR, Finance, and others) to collect relevant data on people, projects, and assets required for insurance placement.
- Facilitate coordination with external brokers, underwriters, and insurers during policy placement and renewal processes.
- Support the claims management process, gathering documentation and liaising with relevant departments to ensure timely and complete claim submissions.
- Assist with insurance-related reporting and provide information to internal departments as required (e.g., Finance, Audit, and Risk).
- Manage the filing and archiving of all insurance and claims documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and full compliance with company policies.
- Process insurance-related invoices and monitor payments in coordination with the Finance team.
- Follow and promote compliance with all internal company procedures, policies, and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in insurance, claims, risk management, or para-legal support, preferably within the energy, shipping, or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and claims handling processes.
- Excellent command of English and Greek (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
