Summary
Energean is looking for a permanent Project Interface Coordinator for the Katlan FPSO Upgrade project. The Katlan development is located Offshore Israel and is expecting first gas in Q1 2027. Katlan area is a near-field development to the existing Karish project (in production since Q4 2022) that is moving to the FEED, EPC, and direct procurement phase. The Katlan FPSO Upgrade Interface Coordinator’s main objective is the coordination of all interface activities from FEED till start up.
The role will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring interface activities are registered, distributed, expedited, resolved and closed between the relevant parties.
Based in Athens and part of Energean’s Project Development department, the Katlan FPSO Upgrade Project Interface Coordinator, will interact with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Production and Engineering, Subsea, HSE and externally with FEED and EPC contractors, as well as various relevant third parties and the authorities in Israel etc.
Responsibilities
- Support the Katlan FPSO Upgrade delivery manager in delivering a reliable new MEG injection, recovery and regeneration function to the FPSO for 25 years, safely and to good industry standards.
- Undertake the role of Project Interface Coordinator.
- Maintain the Project Interface Register containing all interface actions and agreements between the various internal and external parties, namely Subsea/FPSO Project/FPSO In-Country/DNV/Risktec/NOV/Integration Contractor/MOE/MOEP.
- Contribute and help structure the regular internal and external reporting tool and progress trackers in support to the Delivery manager.
- Review and record actions from emails, MOM and agreed items from verbal conversations.
- Be aware of all battery limits, project interfaces and relevant internal and external parties.
- Be aware of the project schedule/contractor schedules, assign and monitor interface actions, deadlines and expedite to ensure the schedule milestone dates are maintained.
- Ensure interface actions are resolved between the parties without creating variations to the contractors’ SOW.
- Strive for simple solutions and avoid unnecessary changes. Participate in maintaining a no change philosophy as much as reasonably practical.
- Ensure standardization across the projects and existing facilities.
- Participate in design reviews and meetings to record actions and support the Topsides Delivery Manager.
- Create reports and presentations as required by the FPSO Upgrade Delivery Manager.
Required Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities)
- B.Sc. or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 5-10 years experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably.
- Previous project experience as a Project Interface Coordinator.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Well organised, good time management, energetic and self-motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Mastering in Microsoft office, particularly outlook, excel and words
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of an international team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
- Ability to work as an effective team player in a small project organisation.
- Self-motivated and confident with the ability to motivate and expedite all stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to Contractor offices, fabrication yards and sub-suppliers works to support the Topsides Delivery Manager.
