Summary

Energean, is looking for an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join the Tehcnical Center team in Athens. The role will will support Energean Global Portfolios of assets as well as the company M&A activities. Responsible for providing reservoir engineering capability on existing Energean assets as well as new business activities, the senior Reservoir engineer will also contribute to planning processes and be in charge of continuously optimizing production and reserves. 
In addition, the role will participate and provide technical input into all Energean’s internal processes such as production forecasts, budgets, and reserves.

 

Main Responsibilities

•    Provide input into the field developments, optimise production and reserves through reservoir performance monitoring, reservoir management, troubleshooting and optimisation of reservoir development (work overs and drilling proposals).
•    Build or update and history match simulation models.
•    Conduct sensitivity analysis and planning of RE data acquisition (well test, fluid sampling, pressure point). 
•    Evaluate development scenarios, production profiles, and profitability on existing and/or new projects.
•    Participate and provide technical support to Energean’s YE reserves exercises and all business processes.
•    Participate in Data room and conduct new business evaluation.
•    Mentor and support reservoir engineering staff. 
•    Working in an integrated team to apply effective reservoir management.

Qualifications and Experience 

•    MSc or higher in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline.
•    About 20 years of experience in reservoir engineering with strong technical experience in New business valuations, hands on simulation experience, and gas condensate knowledge. 
•    Proven experience in all of the following areas: simulation modelling and history matching, material balance analysis, fluid characterization (PVT Analysis), SCAL data interpretation, well-test interpretation, well-performance analysis, production forecasting, and integrated asset modelling.
•    Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics and reservoir characterization issues and how they relate to reservoir performance and development planning.
•    Operational support experience, including well test design and management. 
•    Exposure to multiple geographical areas and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi¬ national environment. International reservoir experience, with Mediterranean experience being a plus.
•    Proficient in industry standard analytical reservoir engineering packages, including Petex IPM Suite and Eclipse 100 and 300, Tnav.

 

Skills 

•    Strong reservoir modelling skills (Tnav, Eclipse, IPM suite).
•    Solid background in classical reservoir engineering principles and methods. 
•    Extensive experience in data room and conducting due diligence for new business
•    Must be proactive, self-directed, and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills
•    Demonstrated ability to work within a project team and help contribute to an environment that fosters innovation, continuous improvement, and continuous learning.
•    Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-national team environment.
•    Strong motivational, planning and coordination skills.
•    Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
