Summary

 

Energean is seeking to employ a Subsea projects Engineer who will support the project manager and discipline lead engineers in delivering the engineering, installation/ construction, commissioning, and startup of the company’s flagship deep water subsea project. The first phase of the project consists of a new (greenfield) development of 4 wells, associated SPS, controls and flowline as well as brownfield upgrades to the host facility (FPSO).

 

Position could be based either in Energean’s head offices in Athens, Greece or the offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Working through full project lifecycle (from project initiation, design, tender, construction commissioning and handover).
  • Integrate and facilitate coordination between internal engineering discipline leads, supply chain management, in country regulatory team, HSE and operations as well as external parties such as design consultants, EPCI contractor and sub-suppliers.
  • Prepare scopes of work and equivalent submissions for any third-party approvals, as required.
  • Supporting the project manager in tendering work packages and assessing tender proposals.
  • Reviewing design documentation and providing feedback to EPCIC contractor.
  • Managing contractor pre-mobilisation activities including management of HSE documentation, risk workshops, permitting and interface planning.
  • Supporting project manager with design deviations and variation orders.
  • Contribute towards delivering all project activities safely and in compliance with company procedures.
  • Oversee distinct work scopes under the guidance of project manager or discipline leads.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and maintaining overall project and scope specific execution plans.
  • Assist with Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensuring package and project quality requirements are met.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in subsea project delivery.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek language (oral and written communication)
  • Knowledge of Hebrew will be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with OEM product catalogue.
  • Experience in managing subsea package delivery for offshore project execution.
  • Experience in offshore construction, commissioning and/or intervention activities.
  • Demonstrable experience in interface and contractor / supplier management.

 

Skills

 

  • Technical understanding of engineering, maintenance and operating principles of subsea oil and gas production and processing facilities.
  • Ability to read and understand process flow and process and instrumentation diagrams (PFDs, P&IDs)
  • Manage and raise technical queries and understand QA/QC principles and processes.
  • Awareness of governing codes, industry standards, and regulations relevant to subsea discipline and experience in the practical application of engineering standards and practices for subsea production and control systems.
  • Delivery-focused and able to demonstrate effective operations technical management skills.
  • Ability to work offshore (support with BOSIET, Offshore medical will be provided)
  • Excellent record and personal commitment to safety
