Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ an Electrical Engineer at our Haifa office. This is a critical support role within the company, contributing to safety, maintenance, and operations of the Energean Power FPSO. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing activities related to electrical systems, while developing professional and technical skills within the oil and gas industry.
Key Accountabilities:
• Report to Electrical Engineer, part of the Maintenance Team and support onshore and offshore teams.
• Assist in embedding Energean's core values and culture across daily activities.
• Support the design, development and documentation of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, motor control, instrumentation).
• Participate in planning, coordination and execution of small-scale projects related to electrical infrastructure.
• Assist in selecting and evaluating in line with technical specifications and company standards.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities, under supervision of senior staff and contractors.
• Participate in inspections, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to ensuring compliance with industry standards, company policies and HSE regulations.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, drawings, reports and records.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process, and instrumentation engineers to ensure systems are aligned and integrated.
• Stay informed of new technologies and electrical practices to support ongoing improvement.
• Comply with Energean's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, and promote safety awareness at all times.
• Participate in offshore visits, audit or reviews as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
• BSc/BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering (or relevant technical qualification)
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering - oil & gas industry experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools, is preferred.
• Awareness of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, API).
• Advantage: Exposure to PLCs, PDCS, industrial communications protocols.
• MIST and BOSIET Training - advantage.
• Experience with maintenance systems or document control tools - an advantage.
