Summary:

 

Energean is seeking to employ a Process Engineer for our office in Haifa, Israel with offshore visits to Energean Power FPSO whenever required. The Process Engineer is a technical position responsible for process engineering supporting production and operations. This role must understand the Gas and Liquids Processes including utilities system within Energean Power FPSO.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

•    Provide support on process troubleshooting, on-going monitoring of operations, assisting in solving possible issues with process upsets and off spec conditions. 
•    Responsible for the development / implementation of strategies for optimizing the FPSO Topsides performance activities.

•    Capable of running Software Unisim, answering ad hoc questions simulating process conditions solutions solving process upsets and production optimization.

•    Able to perform engineering calculations that will allow us to perform Management of Changes considering Process Safety industry standards.
•    Provide process support for plant maintenance activities, shutdowns, startups, and turndowns. 
•    Capable of understanding and utilizing PFDs/P&IDs as supporting documentation for relevant work scope.

•    Capable of handling and understanding production chemicals.
•    Responsible for the creation and regular updating of technical procedures and guidelines for the Offshore production team.  
•    Proactively looks for opportunities to improve facility processes, Production efficiency and overall FPSO performance adding value to Operations production team. 

•    Executing and delivering detailed engineering activities, studies and emergent work in support of the Assets including technical assessment.
•    Ad hoc items required by the line manager.

 


Qualifications and Experience:

 

•    Engineering BSc/BEng degree in Chemical Engineering
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry 
•    Knowledge of upstream and downstream processes and equipment
•    Knowledge of Hysys/Unisim (Process Engineering Software) / Management of Change (MOC) practices.
•    Familiar with Process Safety Management, Integrity & Reliability
•    Knowledge in Engineering and Process Design
•    Demonstrable industry experience working to an advance level of competence.
•    Previous experience working at a similar level
•    Previous experience with process calculations and process safety concepts 

 

 

Skills:

 

•    Understanding, highly skilled individual who can work as part of a cross asset team
•    Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs, mechanical drawings and engineering documentation, inspection reports, maintenance reports
•    Strong networking and communication skills externally and internally – ability to cultivate and build strong internal and external relationships with business counterparts.
•    Ability to influence and motivate others
•    Good written and presentation skills, with ability to adapt style and content of presentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Display calmness under pressure, ability to focus on team priorities
•    Advanced Microsoft Office experience
