Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ a Financial Controller Lead for our office in Milan. The Financial Controller Lead oversees and coordinates budgeting and management control activities, ensuring the integrity of financial and economic data and supporting the company’s strategic planning. The role actively contributes to the decision-making process through accurate performance analysis and the optimization of reporting and management control processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting the planning and control process (business plan, budget, forecast, financial closing).
- Coordinating the other 2 financial controllers for KPI reporting and other controlling activities.
- Preparing monthly reporting for the parent company with group KPI analysis.
- Support for the development of the controlling model and reporting system.
- Elaborating monthly accruals and other year-end tasks for accounting closure and Statutory FS preparation.
- Cost control activities after month accounting closure.
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of actual vs budget deviations.
- Supervision and management of the Time Sheet module and management accounting, reversals, allocations, cost per hour and/or man days, joint rates.
- Support to Operations Dept. with Management Reports and analysis.
- Managing cost objects structure related to Operated asset.
- Handling JVA module for billings and cash-calls.
- Supporting JV partners with analysis and JOA requirements: hourly rates certification and tariffario report.
- Mapping and analysis of orders and contracts assigned to Operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Economy or related discipline.
- 10 years experience in similar position.
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1).
- Excellent knowledge of Mcrosoft Excel.
- Good knowledge of the SAP 4/HANA application.
- 5-years proven experience in business industrial environment (preferably including oil & gas experience).

- Management experience.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Self-starter qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks.
