Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ a C&P Officer for our office in Siracusa. The C&P Officer will be part of the Energean Italy C&P team reporting to the Head of Procurement Italy, responsible for the procurement of Goods (mechanical, electrical, electro-instrumental materials, spare parts for plants, machines and mechanical equipment) and Services (engineering, facility, plant maintenance, IT, HR, HSE) and the ongoing support of the local Business Units and Project Teams. All within the trading limits set for the specific perimeter of competence and in collaboration with the Group's C&P guidance, operating in compliance with company procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Business, with reference to the Italian perimeter, in meeting its objectives through the execution of transactional and administrative C&P tasks with a focus on optimizing costs and improving quality (value for money) and ensuring compliance.
- Support C&P and Contract Holders in the efficient processing of tenders and outcomes.
- Process procurement requests for goods or services, by preparing and issuing purchase orders and contracts, with proper recommendation notes, to awarded suppliers.
- Provide support to the requisitioners as required, to increase the ease of creating requisitions and answer queries relating to the progress of the procurement process.
- Maintain supplier and procurement databases and provide reports for supplier’s performance to support procurement planning and decision making.
- Produce Procurement Reports as requested.
- Filing and organizing of procurement documentation as required.
- Follow and enforce the company's policies and procedures.
- Management of relationships with internal stakeholders and with suppliers.
- Support for the Qualification of eligible suppliers to participate in tenders.
- Monitoring of suppliers, ensuring market scouting.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.
- Good understanding of the buying process and excellent understanding of the Request to Purchase process (in the Oil&Gas sector is a plus).
- Previous experience in purchasing / commercial office with management of complex contracts in international contexts, with adequate technical-administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to organize, task and identify priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Professional reliability, Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Customer and result orientation, self-starter.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of an international team.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Proven ability with MS Office Software Applications (Excel at least intermediate).
- Proven ability on SAP system (in particular the "MM" module), knowledge of SAP S/4HANA will be a plus.
- Spoken and written English, minimum level: intermediate.
- Degree or technical diploma or adequate equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of finance and administration cycles.
