Summary:

 

Energean Israel is seeking to hire an Engineering Compliance Officer, who is responsible for coordinating various professional & engineering regulatory workstreams. This position also serves as liaison between the relevant disciplines within the organization (i.e. Engineering, Operations, Projects, Legal and Permitting) as well as external governmental agencies, and other stakeholders in matters pertaining to the company’s practices and regulation development.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

•    Monitors regulations to determine impact on operations and advises management accordingly.
•    Monitors issues, tracks trends and updates on relevant government initiatives, regulations compliance requirements.
•    Supports Energean’s business by developing proactive approaches of compliance strategies and work procedures. 
•    Works with Energean teams to effectively support the implementation of the company’s regulatory and compliance strategies.
•    Leads all internal interfaces in order to fully comply with regulatory requirements, including the drafting and commenting on proposed regulations.
•    Coordinates and leads efforts associated with preparation of regulatory documents and submissions
•    Manages the regulatory knowledge base of regulations, permits, guidelines and regulatory correspondences

 


Qualifications and Experience:

 

•    Related engineering BSc/BEng degree - Advantage 
•    Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or equivalent industry - Advantage 

•    Past exposure to marine regulatory environment 

•    Previous experience in regulatory compliance and/or proven work experience in regulatory/engineering interfaces 

•    Ability to collaborate with and influence key decision makers in an operations environment
•    Highly proficient with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Word and MS Excel)
