Summary
Enearth, a subsidiary of Energean, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its growing Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) activities.
Reporting to the Head of CCS, the role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient accounting operations, while supporting critical month-end and year-end processes.

Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements
- Review and monitor balance sheet reconciliations (bank, intercompany, payroll)
- Analyze financial results and explain variances versus budget and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory reporting obligations
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and responses to queries
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy across operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a multinational environment
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and local accounting and tax regulations
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)

- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills in both Greek and English
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
