Summary:

With reference to the relevant macro-areas and on behalf of the Marine Operations Manager, directly coordinates the detailed scope of activities relating to “Transit and Customs”, “Port Security” (within the scope of the role as Deputy Port Facility Security Officer), “marine pollution prevention”, and acts as Works Delegate for offshore activities. Place of work: San Giovanni Teatino (CH)

 

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Transit and Customs
    • Preparation of documentation for customs procedures relating to the export and import of materials;
    • Planning and management of port logistics for the movement of goods, materials and consumables to and from the port infrastructure and offshore fields;
    • Planning and execution of diesel fuel supplies for offshore facilities, used for power generation;
    • Operational and documentary management of OPERATIONAL BASE No. 10, located within the Port of Ortona, in relation to the international and domestic export/import of materials;
    • Ongoing monitoring and updating of customs operations to ensure compliance with the latest applicable regulations;
    • Administrative and accounting management of suppliers;
    • Preparation of tender documents and technical specifications for the procurement of services and materials.
  2. Marine Pollution Prevention pursuant to Ministerial Decree of 23 January 201
    1. Active contribution to the drafting and updating of company environmental emergency response plans;
    2. Maintenance of records relating to maintenance and drills for equipment and external personnel deployed;
    3. Planning and oversight of equipment maintenance activities and personnel practical drills, including direct involvement of the competent Maritime Authorities;
    4. Technical management of equipment in compliance with national regulations;
    5. Administrative and accounting management of suppliers;
    6. Preparation of tender documents and technical specifications for the procurement of equipment, tools and service;
  3. Offshore Infrastructure Maintenance
    • Follow-up on the execution of scheduled inspections and maintenance of subsea structures and sea lines for oil and gas platforms;
    • Follow-up on extraordinary maintenance activities;
    • Administrative and accounting management of suppliers;
    • Active participation in the preparation of tender documents and technical specifications for the procurement of services and materials.
  4. Cost Control and Budget Management
    • Ongoing monitoring of expenditure allocated to each cost item, in accordance with the approved company budget for the areas within the role’s responsibility and in compliance with the instructions of the Function Manager.
    • Monitoring of the actual use of financial resources against work progress for the areas within the role’s responsibility and in compliance with the instructions of the Function Manager.
    • Preparation of the LE1, LE2, PAF and MTP proposals for Capex and Opex budget items within the role’s responsibility, on behalf of the Marine Operations Manager;
  5. Port Security pursuant to the “ISPS Code” and the “National Maritime Security Programme” for the Rospo Mare field and FSO Alba Marina
    • Acts as DEPUTY in dealings with the designated Maritime and Port Authorities;
    • Management, monitoring and implementation of the security system in accordance with the Plan approved by the Maritime Authority and with the PFSO’s instructions;
    • Administrative and accounting management of suppliers;
  6. Offshore Works Delegate / Company Man
    • Acts as the client’s Works Delegate and Company Man for all offshore activities under the responsibility of the function.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical diploma, preferably in Nautical Studies or Maritime Transport
  • Preferably, seagoing experience at managerial level aboard merchant vessels in the engine or deck department.
  • PFSO Certificate
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the offshore and oil & gas industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP
  • Good knowledge of Business Control principles
  • Good knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Written and spoken English.
